Fundamental level Bookkeeping & Payroll training is for candidates who are looking to enter into the accounting industry. We have carefully designed and structured our training to give candidates the necessary practical skills to enable them understand processes from source documents to the VAT return and beyond. By the end of training with us you will learn the accounting procedures as applied in real life accountancy work.
Every step has been designed to make sure that you gain the practical insight and skills of working in our accountancy practice. Candidates have the opportunity to master computerised accounting and payroll packages of their choice from Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, QuickBooks, IRIS, and VT.
Candidates have the opportunity to master a Computerised and payroll package of their choice from Sage, Sage Payroll, QuickBooks, IRIS, TAS or VT. In addition candidates have the opportunity to become proficient in Excel spreadsheets.
Intermediate level training is highly popular among our candidates and is for those aiming to become an Accounts Assistant. Our training is structured in such a way that it is suitable for both experienced and inexperienced candidates. Once the four quarterly VAT returns have been submitted the candidates will than perform adjusting entries (accruals, prepayments, depreciation) and prepare final trial balance.
This training program will cover topics such as maintenance of fixed asset register, control accounts and management accounts. Candidates will also cover other concepts such as intrastate returns and fuel scale charges.
Software covered in this training program will include Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll and QuickBooks. In addition candidates will have the opportunity to become proficient in Excel spreadsheets.
Our training is structured in such a way that it is suitable for both experienced and inexperienced candidates.
Advance level includes the training on areas such as maintaining daybooks on excel using advanced excel techniques such as lookups and pivot tables, preparing ledgers and control accounts on excel spreadsheets, period end adjustments (accruals, prepayments and depreciation), understanding the whole accounting process and link of individual steps from scratch up to final trial balance.
Once you have completed final trial balance, you will than learn how to complete payments for contractual employee's under CIS (Construction industrial Scheme). Candidates will also prepare management accounts on quarterly basis, perform financial analysis of statements and will write detailed report and recommendations to finance manager.
Once you have completed Final Trial Balance, you will have learn how to complete payments for contractual employee’s under SAGE Construction Industrial Scheme (CIS).
This level is designed for the candidates who wish to work in a challenging accountancy environment. This training program will enable individuals to learn about the accounting standards such as IFRS, FRSSE and practically implement those standards on real data to produce final accounts with references and indexes to be reviewed by the senior accountants.
After having prepared the final trial balance candidates will produce final accounts using different accounting packages such as Sage Accounts production Advanced (SAPA).You will also learn Profit/Loss, Balance Sheet Reconciliation through lead schedules generated from SAPA. You will also learn SAGE CT 600(Corporation Tax Returns), sage compliance, International Trade, UK & Foreign VAT
Candidates will also learn about XBRL, which is Extensible Business Reporting Language, and prepare financial reports of the companies. Candidates will also learn how compute corporation tax for companies.
Professional level training is for those who wish to grab senior managerial positions in the organisations. Once the final accounts have been prepared, you will than work with all departments of the business to help them plan and manage their budgets. You'll also work closely with the CEO to help them manage the overall business.After the Accounts have been finalised, you will learn how to plan budgets, forecasts You will also learn financial modelling, how to do self assessment returns and financial review.
Contents covered on this level will include providing and interpreting financial information, preparing budgets and forecasts, developing financial models and preparing strategic management accounts for the organisation that provide accurate and timely financial and statistical information which is required by managers to make day-to-day decisions. Candidates will perform various kind of analysis to produce management reports which will include project analysis, product analysis, company performance analysis, and preparation of reports.
This level of training is designed for the tax advisor and tax accountants. This specialised training program gives the candidate a deep understanding about the rules and regulation of tax and annual returns for sole traders and partnerships. In this training program candidates will perform tax calculations on actual companies and will learn how to fill up and submit the annual returns to companies’ house. Candidates will also learn about losses and their treatment for partnership and sole trader accounts.
Other areas covered will include, keeping records and ensuring compliance with HMRC, company house forms and correspondences, checking & requesting company information, hanging the details of an annual return, filling AR01 online and sending to companies’ house, annual return deadlines & penalties, treatment of dormant companies and how to protect the corporate identity.After Financial Review you will learn how to do Partnership Tax returns, Trust and State Tax Returns, Charity Returns and Companies Annual Returns.
After the Accounts have been finalised, you will learn how to plan budgets, forecasts You will also learn financial modelling, how to do self assessment returns and financial review.
The beneficiaries of the T.E.F.A.S. project have the chance to do a work placement in the Accountancy sector and to benefit from 12 weeks of professional training in one of the hosting companies that form the transnational net of the project.
The hosting companies are based in Dublin, Ireland and in Mosta, Malta, which are the project destinations for the T.E.F.A.S. project.
The period of the mobility will range from the beginning of February 2014 until the end of October 2014.
Participants will leave in groups with a maximum of 3 or 4 beneficiaries. The beneficiaries also receive a period of preparation before the mobility: a refresher course on their Accountancy Skills and some cultural awareness focusing on the hosting destination and on its main peculiarities.
